Typically, The Narrative & Reflection Project will be an activity that is available to only paid subscribers of The BW Printing Press. However, I felt like it was right to make the first three issues (May/June, June/July, and July/August) available to everyone.
This edition is purely reflective prompts—just felt best this way. And they all revolve around relationships which I think might also be leading me into my next batch of articles. This isn’t an opportunity to for you to feel embarrassed, but rather, an opportunity for you to share your version of the human experience—which we all share in common.
THE NARRATIVE & REFLECTION PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
The only guardrail that I’m establishing is that your stories cannot exceed five paragraphs (3-5 sentences per paragraph). You don’t have to strive for five paragraphs; you just can’t do more than five paragraphs.
That is the only requirement, but I do hope that you will take time throughout the week to think about the weekly prompt. And I do hope that you will share your story with us each Friday night.
REFLECTION PROMPTS
1. How do you define ‘friendship’? Do you think your friendships are meaningful or convenient?
2. How do you define ‘jealousy’ and how do you relate to it?
3. How do you define ‘heartbreak’? What’s an example of your biggest heartbreak?
4. What value does time and proximity hold in your relationships?
I will be posting my responses each week on Friday at 7:30PM, Central. I really do hope that you join in on the project because I’m excited to see inside of your mind. But also, don’t feel pressured to share each week—post when it is best for you.
